Legendary Californian punks Bad Religion are coming to Australia for the Good Things Festival.

Legendary Californian punks Bad Religion are coming to Australia for the Good Things Festival.

With a six year gap from their 2013 album ‘True North’ they have released their latest album with the poignant title “Age of Unreason”. It’s got the same fast, crunchy punk and melodic harmonies styles their fans have grown to love.

Bad Religion are noted for their songs about religion, politics and science. They’re known for their harmonies and melodic emotion.

Co-song writer and guitarist Brett Gurewitz tells Kerrang!:

“The band has always stood for enlightenment values. Today, these values of truth, freedom, equality, tolerance, and science, are in real danger. This record is our response.”

“When I saw all these headlines about how terrible our world had become, I started doing a lot of reading,” he adds of Age Of Unreason’s message. “I read about the French revolution, the American Revolution, the Civil War, and I started to recognise that this is a pattern of history and something we should never venture into. There are ample warnings against it. Every school child should know this but it’s hard to get people to read about these things. Maybe this album can help. Because right now, with social media, we are just playing a version of kill the guy with the ball.”
